Are you applying for financial aid for the 2019-2020 academic year? If so, do you need help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act (CADAA) and Chafee Grant for Foster Youth applications?
As part of the California Student Aid Commission’s “Cash for College” campaign, they are offering free workshops to assist in completing the FAFSA application process so that you can access financial aid for your education. Workshops located in Ventura County will be available at various locations.

Once there, you can search by location. If you type in Oxnard, you will see a workshop will be at Oxnard College on February 9, 2019 at 9:00 AM.

If you are a former foster youth who has been adopted, then this scholarship is for you. The DeBolt Scholarship for the 2019 cycle will be available January 2019. Review the flyer and/or visit the website listed to see if you qualify, if you do then apply. If you know someone who may qualify, let them know.

Fall 2018 Scholarship Workshop
Interested students are invited to attend the Fall 2018 Scholarship Workshop on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Petit Salon.
The workshop will provide attendees with tips needed to be a competitive applicant and provide an overview of the scholarship process, along with various techniques on how to complete a successful application. RSVP is required, so be sure to register online if you plan to attend.
Our campus offers outstanding scholarship opportunities each year, so this is an excellent opportunity to apply for funding you do not have to pay back. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $10,000 and all students are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship application cycle will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 and conclude on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
